November Story begins with a freak road accident during one rainy night in the year 1995. It is a horrific scene with dead bodies strewn all over the place. There seem to be no survivors except for a little girl. Cut to present day Chennai were we see Anu (Tamannaah) struggling to cope up with her Father Ganesan (GM Kumar), a famous crime novel writer who is in the 2nd stage of Alzheimer. She is desperate to sell her ancestral house for his surgery and medical expense. But Ganesan is not willing to part with and gets hysterical whenever a selling opportunity comes by. Anu an ethical hacker also faces trouble at work, and is constantly disturbed with all of this. More tragedy hits her when a father gets involved in murder which happens at her ancestral house. Anu tries to solve the murder before the police tries to frame the murder on her father. How Anu saves her father and finds the real killer is the rest of the story.
November story is definitely better than the existing Tamil content on TV and OTT, Filled with twists and turns, each episode is carefully written, but at the same time a lot of it could have been edited and could have concentrated on the main characters. The initial pace in the screenplay was lost inbetween and was rushed at the end. Like instance Pasupathy’s character flashback was not clearly defined and had wasted screen time. While his bond with his daughter could have made sense . GM kumar fits the character well, Tamannah though better from her previous OTT release , had a better chance in this to give her best but just managed to give a mediocre performance. Pasupathy does fine but had very less screen time, a better presentation on his character could have elevated this story to the best. Novembar story still is watchable , I give it 5/10
