Premam is about the life of George David ( Nivin Pauly) and his love life which starts from his adolescence years and never stops. He is accompanied by his friends Koya and Shambhu all the way to the end ,played so naturally by Krishnakumar & Shabareesh . The ladies who come as his love interest to give their best performances, especially Sai Pallavi who plays Malar. The film though predictable at times, it does stop entertaining you till the end. The cast delivers as a whole team, and there are no unwanted character or flaws in their acting, though most of them look like first timers. Songs are big plus and cinematography by Anand C Chandran makes every scene to be loved. Alphonso Putheran made a mark on his first film , but certainly impresses everyone in this. The only problem is that the film is slow and gets slower till the end . If the duration would been less it would have been lot better. I give in 5/10

Mithran ( Jayam Ravi) is idealist cop in search for a worthy adversary. While in training , he and his friends in the camp play vigilante at nights and solve crimes . But Mithran is behind the big fish , who always manage to manipulate and stay far away from the reach of justice. He rounds up them to three main kingpins who are behind all these lawlessness. Once he takes charge , he chooses his team and begins to collect proof against them. While following these three, he Finally learns that they are controlled by a singular mind -Siddarth Abimanyu ( Arvindswamy) a scientist and a millionaire who is always a step ahead. How Mithran brings this criminal mastermind to justice is the rest of the story.
Thani Oruvan is not your usual cop movie, this intense thriller is different and always keeps you at your edge of the seat. This movie brings out M.Raja out of his remake stamp. He with the support of a strong screenplay from the magic Duo Suba the screen writers packs a punch. Jayam Ravi plays his role too perfection and executes his character well. If it’s Jayam Ravi in the first half its Arvindswamy in the second half. He plays his character very casually with a calm wickedness. Nayanthara play her part well , her role and scenes bring a brief relief to the dense subject. For once the songs where not a hinderance to the story even though they weren’t memorable. Cinematography by Ramji was notable and composed very well , his mono chromatic colours brings variety to his compositions. The only drawback is the length of the movie, it nearly 2hrs 45mins. I give the movie 6/10
The film starts in America with Kalyan (Ravi Teja) the protagonist from the first film introducing Robin hood his son (Ravi Teja) who is equally crazy as him . Robin asks his father money for building a hospital , when he refuses he leaves to India to regain his ancestral property which is now in hands of a mobster .Meanwhile in Vilaspur , a village in Bihar ,the villagers are tortured by Solomon singh Thakur ( Ravi Kishan) . Robin Hood with his quick wits and fearless character re-acquires his land. One of the villagers who sees Robinhood’s courage tells the village people that he will be the only one to rescue them. Thus The whole village formulates a plan to bring Robinhood to their village.
Kick 2 is as equal to its predecessor, Ravi Teja carries the whole film in his shoulders . His energetic performance and comic timing never lets down his fans and audience. His scenes with bramhanandham makes you laugh belly bursting. Rahul Preet singh who plays Ravi’s love interest does a decent job. The story is slow and predictable . The screenplay could have had less twists which leads to unwanted duration. The first half flies like 10 mins , but the second half is a let down. It drags and finally picks up in the climax. Kick 2 even though a big slow , never lets you down. I give it 5/10
Vasu ( Santhanam) and Saravanan (Arya) are childhood friends and business partners. When Vasu gets married, his wife is tormented by saravanan’s practical jokes and interference in vasu’s life. So she gives Vasu 6 months time to end saravanan’s friendship or end their relationship. Vasu unable to end Saravanan’s friendship tries to convince him into marriage so that he may be deviated from thief friendship. How he finds a partner for his friend and manages to keep his marriage intact is the rest of the story.
Being Arya’s 25th film , I expected some sort of meaningful story under his own banner. But with just a thin storyline with just jokes stuck around it, this movie doesn’t appeal to the audience. Everyone in the cast joins the sarcastic joke act and and at a certain point it becomes unbearable. Santhanam’s jokes seems to have been dried up . Tamannah does more than just being a glamour doll, she gets into the act in this comedy genre and does a modest job. Saying that the movie just flies off , and does not drag anywhere. Imman’s music does brings up some life in the movie but doesn’t support enough. This movie gets 4/10
