Doctor – Movie review

Varun(Sivakarthikeyan) is an army doctor, his eccentric but practical approach to life brands him as a very rigid and emotionless person. This affects his proposed marriage, as his fiancée Padmini (Priyanka Arul Mohan) as she rejects him due to his unnatural character. During this breakup Padmini’s niece goes missing and Varun volunteers to help. But Varun slowly discovers that this is not simple Kidnapping and there is huge Cartel running an international human trafficking organisation trafficking lots of girls. Varun manages to hire some petty thieves and along with the family tries to bring back the kidnapped girls. How he does this is the rest of the story.

Director Nelson Dilipkumar impressed everyone thru Kolamavu Kokila’s dark comedy , this too has the same flavor but more comedy and a huge cast which does an equally good performance. Forget Siva Karthikeyan , Yogi Babu and Ravi are the real heroes of the film which takes us thru a hilarious comedy ride. for Siva Karthikeyan character is piece of cake and he does it well, Priyanka Arul Mohan adds to some comedy here and there but it could have done by anyone, other cast members add enough flavor when comedy gets into play. The only flaw as I see is the villain Vinay who’s character doesn’t sustain much and gets easily spoofed by petty thieves . Second half also is dragging but kept alive only by Yogi babu. Doctor still impresses and is a positive hit which will bring back the crowd into theaters. I give it 7/10

No Time To Die – Movie review

Whom do you call when a deadly virus falls in the hands of Spectre, none other than 007. Retired James Bond (Daniel Craig) is reached out by both CIA and MI6 for the job. Of course James chooses the CIA with his close friend Felix (Jeffrey Wright). Things get heated up as James finds that he is the intended target for the virus and this also involves his most dangerous adversary Ernst Starvo Blofled (Christoph Waltz) and his surviving daughter Madeline (Léa Seydoux). How James sloves the puzzle and saves the world from this is the rest of the story.

No time to die is thoroughly a tribute Daniel Craig as James Bond, from the beginning to the end frame; it was scripted for him as a farewell adventure. Being the most lengthiest of all the Bond movies clocking 163 mins, but truly makes you enjoy every minute of it. We are also introduced to two other new agents Noami (Lashana Lynch) and Paloma (Ana de Armas) who will lead the legacy ahead. A huge cast including Rami Malek engage you in roller coaster ride with action, suspense and enough entertainment in the movie. As for the Movie though with usual predictable knots here & there, but doesn’t loses its charm and integrity till the end. the only flaw which I could see is the weightage of Rami Malek’s character Safin as a villain which does not have enough strength. Nevertheless No time to die is a tremendous finish to a decade-long journey that won’t disappoint fans that have been waiting patiently. Exciting, well-crafted & emotional I give it 8/10.
