Rekka – Movie review

Siva ( Vijay Sethupathy ) is a do-gooder who helps lovers who face opposition from their families for marriage. On one such incident he crosses path with the local gangster David( Satish) and becomes his enemy. When Siva’s sister is about to get married, David uses this opportunity to distrupt the wedding and blackmails Siva into kidnapping his archenemy’s fiancée . Siva too agrees to the task since his sister’s future depends on it. Whether he completes the task and saves his sisters’ wedding is the rest of the story.

Branded as a commercial and an action flick, Rekka becomes the sixth film of Vijay Sethupathy to be released this year. Though the film balances the commercial elements and actions sequences , it’s fails miserably to form a straight story line and deviates . With an unnecessary subplot which takes us away from the main story and ends leaving the audience unsatisfied. For Vijay Sethupathy this is a walk in the park, he manages to sparkle occasionally but the weak storyline leaves him behind. KS Ravikumar manages to shine In between , other cast members were just fine. Worst comes from Lakshmi Menon who manages to make a fool of herself on screen by exaggerating her role by overacting. Songs are big minus and just drags the running time. Over all Rekka ends up raw and can’t be digested easily. I give it 3/10

Sardaar Gabbar Singh – Movie review

Gabbar singh (Pawan Kalyan) is a fearless cop, who believes on blunt force more than rules of the law when catching criminals. When he his transferred to control criminal activities in princely state of Rattanpur, he faces his match Bhairav Singh (Sharad Kelkar) a treacherous landlord who controls the lives of the villager. How Gabbar Singh saves the villager from the clutches of Bhairav Singh is the rest of the story.

A disastrous comeback from Pawan kalyan, even though he manages dominates the screen, he fails miserably as the writer of this film. The film lacks creativity and torchers the audience repeatedly till the end of the film. Nothing new in the film, just tasteless masala spread all over. Songs too are lame and dialogues are unappealing. I give the film a 1/10

Kick 2 – movie review

The film starts in America with Kalyan (Ravi Teja) the protagonist from the first film introducing Robin hood his son (Ravi Teja) who is equally crazy as him . Robin asks his father money for building a hospital , when he refuses he leaves to India to regain his ancestral property which is now in hands of a mobster .Meanwhile in Vilaspur , a village in Bihar ,the villagers are tortured by Solomon singh Thakur ( Ravi Kishan) . Robin Hood with his quick wits and fearless character re-acquires his land. One of the villagers who sees Robinhood’s courage tells the village people that he will be the only one to rescue them. Thus The whole village formulates a plan to bring Robinhood to their village.

Kick 2 is as equal to its predecessor, Ravi Teja carries the whole film in his shoulders . His energetic performance and comic timing never lets down his fans and audience. His scenes with bramhanandham makes you laugh belly bursting. Rahul Preet singh who plays Ravi’s love interest does a decent job. The story is slow and predictable . The screenplay could have had less twists which leads to unwanted duration. The first half flies like 10 mins , but the second half is a let down. It drags and finally picks up in the climax. Kick 2 even though a big slow , never lets you down. I give it 5/10
