The most expected film of the summer OK Kanmani released this week. This film also marks the return of much awaited unification of PC Sreeram and Mani Rathinam . Aadhi (Dulquer Salmaan) Tara (Nithya Menen) are two liberal new age youngsters who come Mumbai to follow their dreams. They both are drawn together when they find their ideology of love and marriage match. Both decide to live-in together their remaining days in Mumbai as they have ambitions to go abroad . As the day’s close in their love blossoms, whether they really come to know the difference meaning of love and togetherness forms the rest of the story.
A love story for the new generation with a well chosen cast is presented in the form OK Kanmani. The story even though very predictable has its moments thru a well coordinated screen play. The director brings in this old couple played flawlessly by Prakash Raj and Leela Samson who actually interpret what true love is all about . Dulquer Salmaan plays this next door boy with ease and also handles intense scenes with a lot of gravity, and Nithya Menen proves that she is the actress to look for when you need genuine performer.she plays the pivotal role in the whole movie. This whole film is gift wrapped to us by PC Sreeram, Every frame is been painted and crafted to perfection. I wasn’t too sure of the songs when I heard but by the way it was visualised the songs where given a new life. The main flaw is the film was a little slow towards the end and romance scenes were too fast and never enough time to get engrossed in them. Welcome back Mr.Mani Rathinam with this new age love story. I give it 7/10
