The story is simple; Kumar (Siddharth) is a software engineer who falls head over heels for his colleague Sanjana (Hansika). Kumar, who is desperate for Sanjana’s love engages the services of Mokia (Santhanam), a love guru.
With a simple but a developed screen play Director Sundar C takes us smoothly into the movie without much effort. Santhanam takes command and leads the movie filled with fun and laughter. For a change his comedy track had less vulgarity and foul language which made it easier for the audience .Not much of a performance oriented role for Siddarth as all he had to do was stand and deliver dialogues to Santhanam and romance with Hansika which is easier for him. Hansika had more lines to deliver than her past films, but still her talky portion was out of sync (maybe it’s the trend for actresses nowadays). Kushboo had done the costumes for the film and she made Hansika look glamorous throughout the film, but Siddarth’s costume was very bad in the songs and Santhanam costume made him look like a pimp rather than a love guru. Cinematography and editing are normal and nothing much in those departments. Songs fail to register than the locations in which they were shot on. As a film “Theeya Velai Seiyyanum Kumaru” takes you to a fun-filled joy ride , there is never a dull moment and keeps you engaged at all times. I give the film 5/10 .
