Deivanai (Saranya Ponvannan) is a widow who lost her husband in a village rivalry. As a single mother, she raises her son Kutti Puli (Sasikumar) and wants to shield him away from violence. Unfortunately he turns up growing a rugged guy who will risk his life for whoever comes to him for help. While his mother wants him to get married, he shy’s away from marriage knowing that he will end up like his father and in turn make his wife suffer like his mother.
Though the script seems to match the Hero Sasikumar , it fails to impress the audience .The debut Director fails with a thin screenplay and fails to engage the audience in the second half. The background score is filled with old films songs bringing dishonor to the original music directors. None of the Preachy punch dialogues stands up. The comedy scenes and Sasikumar’s Makeover act in the second half irritates you and makes you very uncomfortable to continue .Laksmi menon doesn’t have much screen time and very much under-utilized in this film. Saranya the only person, donning the mother’s role in the film does justice to her character. Muragadoss who plays sidekick to the Hero does a decent job. The only positive act is done by the Cinematographer Mahesh Mutthusamy who makes film the viewable to its character. Strictly a ‘C’ center film , I give it 3/10
